BHU-Swamy - The Residue of the molasses after extraction of Ethanol is burnt in the boiler along with the other fuels resulting in the ash. This ash contains around 17-20% of Potash besides Calcium, Magnesium, Nitrogen and Phosphorous. Thus the potash in this ash is known as Potash Derived From Molasses. PDM is granulated to 2mm-4mm Granules with the help of some binders like Bentonite Powder, Gypsum etc. The Granulated PDM makes easy for soil application by virtue of Broadcast in the Field. It Contains 14.7% of Potash dispersible in the soil. .
